Plug plug
Like most yahoos with a blog, I gets lots of emails from random people plugging this or that product or resource. I always check them out, though most turn out to be irrelevant to what we do here at Daddy Dialectic. Recently, however, I've gotten word about some sites that I like.
Earlier this week I got an email from DadLabs. At first, I was skeptical. Then I watched the videos, like the one above, and they turned out to be hilarious, and even sorta useful. So check out DadLabs.
I also got a note from Paul Banas, a dad whom I knew from my son's preschool. What I didn't realize, however, is that Paul has launched a site for dads called GreatDad, which is a kind of straight-faced counterpart to DadLabs.
I'd also like to take this opportunity to mention that Daddy Dialectic's Chicago Pop is launching a personal blog, Bookish Dad. Finally, I also got a note from a new site called Trekaroo, which seems like it could be a useful resource if you're traveling with kids.
Feel free to plug your own or other people's projects in a comment!

As chicago pop meant to say as his alter ego bookish dad: May a thousand suns shine on the graves of your ancestors for a thousand years.
And thanks for the plug. (The blog is actually titled "Dad's Book of Days", but your link will work just as well).
Now everybody go do some shopping for the daddy-tested products above.
Thanks for the "shout out". Happy travels to you, your family, and all your readers.
GreatDad has one of the only pregnancy newsletters intended specifically for dads, something I really appreciated as a single dad.
Dad Labs looks like an awesome site; I really appreciate the link and (as always) the dad's perspective.
First, I feel like I need to apologize for being one of those yahoos with a blog and a random person plugging a resource. But I don't want to just toot my own horn here. I read about your blog awhile back in Mothering magazine, when my blog was just an idea. I made a note to myself to contact you once mine was up and running, because as a parent educator I want to make special efforts to reach the men folk out there. I'm thrilled that dads are gathering together to find and create support around parenting. I am writing a parent education blog, because I am an educator of children (and therefore parents too). Please check it out and give me your feedback. I'd love any thoughts you might have for connecting more with dads and would appreciate it if you'd add me to your blogroll. You are on mine. Thanks!
Emily

Well, I'm glad somebody took me up on my offer to plug their own project! I'll check it out.
Scott from diyfather.com here – I’m one of the authors of “Call Me Dad!” a practical guide for expectant / new fathers. We believe our book is a unique take on parenting from a male perspective – it’s practical, to-the-point and funny. It’s just a great read and makes for a perfect gift for all dads-to-be.
The book is sold by offline and online resellers but we are also selling it directly on our website and we offer a commission of $2.50 per sale for other sites who link to our site. We thought your site has a good fit with our target audience and so I was wondering whether you’d be interested in joining our affiliate programme (www.diyfather.com/affiliate)?
Best wishes, Scott
