How the Sun Rose

Early morning. Liko goes to the window and sees the light spilling over Mt. Diablo.

"What are you doing, Liko?"

"The sun. I want to hold it."

"What will you do with the sun?"

"Put it in the sky."

So it sounds like you moved eastward. But Mt Diablo seems a little more eastward than I was certainly recommending!

We actually haven't gone anywhere. On a clear day, you can see Mt. Diablo from our perch at the crest of Castro St. One friend described our place as feeling like a "treehouse."

Daddy Dialectic author, I LOVE your blog and read it as often as I can.

I posted a child-related letter I wrote today on my own blog, and I'm linking it, hoping it will serve you well, on a few blogs of parents I read and admire.

Thanks so much, Katie, for the kind words and the link. Sorry things have been slow here at Daddy Dialectic; we've all been really busy. But I think you'll see regular, new posts through the holidays.
